I'm a freelance illustrator from Kensington, Maryland. My last name is pronounced LEEYOOSE - it's Norwegian. Over the years, I've created images for many publications, advertising agencies, and design studios. I've had the pleasure to work with many great companies and wonderful people. Some notable clients have included Apple Computer, VISA, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and many others.

I used Cinema 4d (a 3d program) to create the artwork you see on this site. The rendered file is then composited and retouched in Photoshop. The animated work in the Motion section is also created in Cinema 4d. The file sequence is then composited in Adobe After Effects prior to output using Adobe Media Encoder. My childhood was spent in suburban Maryland not far from Washington, DC where I enjoyed playing sports. I also play guitar and enjoyed performing in various garage bands (minus the garage). I graduated with a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, then later attended Syracuse University and received an MFA in illustration.

UPDATE: Hey everyone, I no longer do illustration work (though you may be able to bribe me 😉 )

In late 2015, I started a travel goods company called Keokee Travel Gear. Currently, our products are featured on Amazon as well as our own website.
